Ok, so this is my second attempt at creating a web page for keeping up with my life, specifically Riley and the little one on it's way. It's hard to believe but already Riley is 3, and in just a few months, will be moving into the "big boy" age of 4. Everyday, I watch him in amazement has he discovers the world around him and pushes the limits as far as he can. One part of me longs for the days when he was just a baby and was incapable of telling me no, but the other part is so proud of the handsome, empithetical little man he has become and can't wait to see what the future will bring.

Everyday of his life, Riley makes me laugh.Yes, some days he makes my cry and even yell but, he is why I do all that I do and I thank God everyday for my little "Roo". As he grows so quickly, there is much to remember about his childhood that I fear I will forget; therefore, I have created this blog in an attempt to capture, share and hold on to these precious memories for as long as possible. (Not to mention, some of his antics are priceless and make for great entertainment.)

As a start to my blog, I'd like to tell you two of my favorite and somewhat disgusting Riley stories. Although it happend a while ago and I was furious at the time, it now makes me giggle when I think of it. Riley and I were at the grocery store when he says to me
"Mommy, come here, smell my hand."
Now I should have known better than to smell a 3 year olds hand after all, who knows what he has been touching or when the last time he washed it was. But, I was so involved with trying to figure out which spaghetti sauce was the cheapest that without even thinking I did it. "OMG! What is that smell?"
I was hit in the face with the most awful scent I had ever smelled. While laughing he replies something along the lines of "I put my hand in my pants and now it smells bad".

The second story is equally as disgusting but when you have a 3 year old boy, thats the way it goes most of the time. Black Friday I had to work so Jason and Riley came up to have lunch with me. We went to a cute little restaurant down the street called Jimmys and when we got there, Riley said he had to use the restroom. So, we walk into the restoom, Riley pulls down his pants and to my horror begins pulling toilet paper out of his underpants and butt. To make things worse, it was covered in poo! I could not believe what I was seeing! No wonder he had to use the bathroom, he had toilet paper was all wadded up in his butt!
Calmly I asked him why and as innocent as could be he said, "I was wipping my hiney Mommy."
Later that day, He and Jason were in Home Depot and he reached into his pants to pull out a piece that we missed earlier in the bathroom. And yes, it too was covered in Poo.
